We had been approached by one of a major oil company to tie in our safety system to their intended SIPROD - Simultaneuous Production and Drilling Operation.
In some assets/areas simultaneous production and drilling operations is abbreviated to SIPROD. The issues which drive the oil and gas companies on whether to carry out SIPROD are safety and cost. Shutting in production while drilling reduce the consequences of a drilling incident, such as a blowout, but will incur a loss of revenue. Risk analysis methods may be used to help in this decision, and if SIPROD is adopted, then procedures will be written specifying how to operate in this mode.
It’s common practice in production operations to close in production from q well when another near-by operation is rigging, to avoid the more serious consequences of a load being dropped during equipments movements.

Jordi is correct for definition though in a sense I would believe the SIPROD that you are being asked to tie into is probably a control, monitoring and now shutdown system. SIPROD is also a title used by some manufacturers for these types of systems as they are built for a specific purpose.
Being Honeywell the client is possibley after a simplified C&E PB & lights matrix system for yes/no shutdown for their Operations Team. Could be a system for simultaneous line pigging/production or as Jordi has said a remote way of shutting down and starting up wells etc. whilst other works ongoing.
